Written in short chapters interspersed with color illustrations, some full page, the text is accessible to readers. Gwendoyln, a descendant of Wendy Darling, is thrilled when Peter Pan returns after 100 years to take her to Never Land. Although the framework story dovetails nicely with Barrie's original, once Gwendolyn finds her way to Fairy Haven, Peter Pan and the Lost Boys fade into the background. Spending most of her time with the fairies, Gwendolyn plays a pivotal role in their struggle to capture a dragon.
